But today’s high is 60°F, so snow might not be happening anytime soon.

Last year we got such little snow here in Madison (“only” 50 inches all winter) that I was reduced to using my Jeep for driving up parking lot snow piles . Also, through the piles of snow left over after people extracted their street-parked cars from having been plowed in.
This year, it’s only snowed a couple times, and the most we got was like 3” in one of those times. I need more snow to justify my terrible gas mileage!

Where does your ice racing take place?

the company that booted me is based on insurance repairs. A HUGE portion of thier work came from all the damage from last years BS amounts of snow. Hes to a hot summer with no snow.

Wisconsin. Last year I did it with a group in LaCrosse, WI, which is on Minnesota border. There’s also a group that does it closer to Milwaukee.

On the upside, my decision to hold off on buying snow tires is looking real smart

Mine was very traction limited on a/s but the balance was still there. I always wanted to have a go with real tires

Well that day I drove in 3in of snow on unpaved back roads(at the speed limit) and didnt have a single problem. I know it can do better than that but that was the only time I’ve driven it through snow.
